Terms and Conditions

Our customers are very important to us and our number one aim is to provide a safe and fun environment with the very highest of standards. We want to deliver holidays to remember with our passion for Scuba.

Acceptance of the below terms and conditions will be assumed upon receipt of a deposit to secure any bookings. If you do not accept the terms and conditions set out below, please make us aware before confirmation. 

Safety:

  • Dive UK Travel put safety and your welfare above everything and we pride ourselves on having zero incidents and will continue to strive for this standard. We do not allow any diver to exceed their certification limits under any circumstances and decompression dives are not allowed unless planned in advance. 
  • Dive UK Travel reserves the right to terminate any dive or cancel your booking if we see any unsafe acts with no refund. This includes putting yourself, our staff and other customers at risk. Please follow our professional Instructions at all times.
  • Dive UK Travel cannot be held responsible for any cancellation or interruption to diving or services caused by currents, wind, weather conditions and the advice of the local governments. 
  • Please follow the guidance and Instructions of Dive UK Travel and Scuba Professionals.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your booking should we believe you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. No refunds will be given. 
  • We do not tolerate any type of abuse towards our staff or others. Your booking will be cancelled with no refunds given.
  • Please ensure before you travel to do a refresh of basic skills locally, if you have not dived for 6 months you may be required to do a refresh at your own cost before being allowed to dive. 
  • Your Scuba equipment or any rented equipment is the responsibility of the diver and not Dive UK Travel.

Insurance:

  • It is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate insurance cover for any loss, injury or medical emergency. Most travel insurance covers Scuba diving up to a certain depth, make sure you are aware of these limits, the terms and conditions and how to make a claim. We recommend having specific diving insurance too. Our staff have DAN insurance, which from previous experience we can recommend. Please feel free to make us aware of your insurance policy and keep a copy with you at all times.
  • You will not be covered under any of Dive UK Travel’s insurance and we cannot be held responsible for any injury or loss. Dive UK Travel has public liability insurance up to £4 Million GBP. (This covers Dive UK Travel and not its customers)

Payment:

  • No bookings will be confirmed until a non-refundable deposit has been paid. All deposits can be paid via a UK bank transfer or wise.com for European & US customers in GBP only. Dive UK Travel cannot accept payment via card or other methods such as PayPal.
  • Any bookings that require a payment plan will be clear upon booking. All payments must be made on time and in full. Any missed payments may result in cancellation with no refunds of previous payments. 
  • All diving holiday packages will have payment plans and other bookings may be subject to set payments. This will be made clear upon booking. 
  • All payment plans can be discussed and agreed at the time of booking. Any balance payable in cash should be paid in GBP. We can accept cash payments in Euro and US dollars at our exchange rate on the day. 

Cancellations or changes:

  • Should Dive UK Travel cancel any bookings for a reason other than specified above a full refund will be given with the exception of any Hotel and Flight Costs that have already been paid. Unless they can be refunded by our booking operator.
  • Should you cancel your booking all monies paid up to that date will be lost. 
  • It may be possible to transfer your booking to another date or somebody else, however this will depend on the schedule and existing bookings of Dive UK Travel and may be subject to an administration fee. Although we cannot guarantee this, we will do our best to accommodate.
  • In relation to Scuba diving holidays, any accommodation or Flights booked is non-transferable and any monies paid will be lost. (Airlines and Hotels may be able to transfer bookings at your own costs)
  • Dive UK Travel will be more than happy to assist with insurance claims in unfortunate events, if the booking is paid in full. (Invoices and receipts will be provided free of charge). If the booking has not been paid in full an administration fee of £50- £250 may be payable. 

Flights:

  • Flights can be changed by the airline at any time, Dive UK Travel will work with them to rebook or book with another airline to minimise disruption to your holiday. Dive UK Travel cannot be held responsible for airline changes out of our control. 
  • We only book flights with British Airways, Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, Singapore Airlines, Turkish Airlines or Cathey Pacific. Internal flights are exempt from these airlines. If we have to use another airline, we will inform you before.
  • If you want specific seats, extra luggage or any other benefits then this will be at your own cost.
  • Flights will include a minimum of 20KG hold luggage plus a carry-on bag up to 7kg. (some airlines include more allowance but we cannot guarantee that)
  • It is your responsibility to arrive on time for your flights. If you miss a flight, you will be responsible for rebooking and arriving to the final destination.
  • Baggage loss is not covered by Dive UK Travel. Please ensure you have the correct Insurance to cover any loss.

Hotels:

  • Hotels are booked by Dive UK Travel and meal plans are stated on your booking. Any added extras such as minibars, room service or food outside the scope of booking will be payable by the customer.
  • Dive UK will state what is included on your booking.
  • Damage to hotel property is payable by the customer in accordance with the hotel’s terms and conditions.
  • Extra charges are payable by the customer such as Spa treatments and Gym entrance fees.
  • Hotels may require a credit card to charge items or deposits. This must be provided by the customer.

Rental Equipment:

  • Rental equipment will be from the local Dive Centre and not Dive UK Travel.
  • Before renting equipment, please see the dive centres own terms and conditions.
  • Dive UK Travel suggest you check all of your equipment before use and look after it to the best of your abilities.
