After exploring Bali for 4 months in the last 3 years we have carefully selected all of the very best Scuba Diving Sites to give you the very best of what Bali has to offer. The Dive UK Travel holidays to Bali are formulated to give you a relaxing holiday, see local sites and see the very best Diving Bali has to offer. You will be based in one of our preferred hotels in the beautiful town of Sanur where you have an abundance of shops and restaurants to cater for all tastes. Sanur is a quiet village far from the party scene Bali has a reputation for.

A Day in Your Bali Diving Holiday

Each morning you will be picked up from the hotel in a private minibus and taken to our private boat where you will meet the instructors to set up your equipment before we set off for a short boat ride to the sites. Each site is carefully selected to give you the very best of diving Bali has to offer. The first day will be nice and easy to get you back into the swing of things and your holiday will give you the opportunity to get up close and personal to the Manta rays on several occasions.

We will go to see them a minimum of 3 times during the holidays so you will have plenty of time to take photos and get to see these magnificent creatures up close and personal.

📜 Formal qualification to 30m

The Dive UK Travel holidays to Bali are suited for beginner divers but must have 50 logged dives and a formal qualification to dive to 30m. Should you want to have a private guide you can do so at an extra costs and groups are 4 divers to 1 Instructor maximum. For your safety we recommend you are comfortable diving with a group and have good buoyancy

Having had such a positive experience with Steve last year, I decided to return this year and booked a full three weeks of diving with Dive UK Hurghada.My holiday was packed with two (and sometimes three) dives each day. I began with several specialty courses, including the PADI Deep Diver and PADI Rescue Diver courses during the first week. I was fortunate to dive with another PADI Master Instructor, Magz, who had taught Steve on his journey to becoming a Master Instructor himself. This opportunity allowed me to gain valuable tips and tricks from another teacher. Maged is incredibly knowledgeable, calm, and passionate about scuba diving. He explained everything in an organized manner, which helped me complete the courses with ease.The second week featured a holiday organized by Dive UK Hurghada called "Shark Week." From the moment I arrived in Hurghada, everything was arranged and included in the package, such as taxi transfers, accommodation, food and drinks. The accommodations were of high quality and all-inclusive. Steve is very selective about who joins him for this week, which makes sense since we aimed to see sharks (primarily Oceanic whitetip sharks) up close. Safety precautions were discussed in detail to ensure that safety remained the top priority at all times.The week began with essential behavioral theory lessons, which were interactive and engaging thanks to Steve's teaching style. This was followed by two days of shore diving to help all participants regain their comfort with buoyancy and trim, as well as practice water entry and exit from the speedboat. Then came the truly thrilling part: three days of shark dives. These included early mornings, beautiful sunrises, and a short speedboat ride to the dive sites. We had five shark dives scheduled, and due to Steve's prior research, we encountered sharks (one to three per dive) in 80% of our dives. Seeing my first shark up close filled me with both excitement and nervousness. However, the thorough briefings and discussions with Steve reassured me that we were well-prepared for the dives and our shark encounters. With each subsequent dive, my excitement grew while my nervousness decreased. On the last day of Shark Week, we attempted a dive with the elusive dugong. Unfortunately, luck was not on our side that day and we didn't manage to find it; however, we did encounter a dugong a week later, which was an incredible experience.During my final week, I completed my PADI Divemaster course. Throughout my training, I had the opportunity to learn from and observe several (Master) Instructors, including Magz, Emma, and of course, Steve. I was consistently challenged to reach the highest possible level, for which I am very grateful. The principle of "see one, do one, teach one" was applied, which resulted in a rapid improvement in my skills and explanations. Over the three weeks, I had the chance to see over 100 clients diving with Dive UK Hurghada, each with different skill levels. This experience taught me a valuable lesson in that it is important to tailor teaching and guiding methods to the individual diver rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.Overall, I highly recommend diving with Dive UK Hurghada. Don’t worry if you book your holiday while Steve is abroad for one of their trips; I can guarantee that you will learn a lot, improve your diving skills, and enjoy great banter with Emma and/or Magz.

Visited Steve and his team on a recent holiday.I had done my certification many years ago but my partner had never tried scuba.Steve and his team made the experience perfect, from the information provided, the tuition in the water, the lunch, even the support when we both got sea sick 🤦🏻‍♂️.It was truly an experience we will never forget, more importantly through the care, support and general hospitality of the team, Stacey has caught the scuba bug.Our instructor was a native Egyptian called wassan. His English was perfect, his knowledge was extensive and he was genuinely one of the nicest people I have met in years of travelling.We are currently looking at coming back to Egypt on one of Steve’s travel packages so Stacey can do her certification.If you want to explore the Red Sea you won’t go wrong with these guys.

You know a dive company is the best when we now book our holidays to come back to Steve and Emma ! 2nd time diving in Egypt with Dive UK Hurghada and can still honestly say we have the best experience every time! We have been extremely lucky to see dolphins, turtles and octopuses during our 3 days diving! We always feel extremely looked after and most importantly safe with Steve and Emma with them both looking out for us in more than just diving, forever going above and beyond and the cheesy grins for our first dive back say it all. I used to be an anxious diver and person in general however both Steve and Emma are so supportive and knowledgeable I will now jump at the opportunity for drift dives (the thought before made me want to cry) and feel like my diving as a result has come on leaps and bounds. If you want the best diving experience while feeling safe and fully supported these are your guys!

Steve and Emma were a great team, expertise, expertise and chat. When you dive with these guys you'll know what I mean. Spent 2 days with the company and don't think you could have had a better experience. Asked for advice on a trip to the pyramids and they set up the best day for my wife and I. Make sure you are up with your hand signals, most of our dive group couldn't see the octopus. 😂

What a fantastic experience. Steve is such an amazing teacher his patience and reassuring prowess make for a safe and so enjoyable experience. As a group of 4 learned all we needed to be certified PADI open water diver in a relatively short time, though the sessions were short they didn't leave you feeling your money was wasted. Both Steve and Emma made the entire trip a very much recommended experience!

Well where do I start...I booked a diving holiday (5 days diving and 7 nights accommodation) with Steve back in October having followed him for a while on Facebook.Booking and communication with Steve was super easy through WhatsApp from the first enquiry, throughout my stay and no doubt in the future (I will be back).Steve met me at the airport and took me to my accomodation, during the journey he settled me into Hurghada giving me hints and tips on how to make the most of my stay when out of the water, including where to eat, shop and general advice.We then got to the apartment which was in a central place near shops and restaurants and a 20 minute walk along one road to the marina.The apartment itself was clean, tidy and provided all I needed for a week's stay.Now the diving....each morning Steve picked me up with other divers and took us to the boat, he ensured that the boat crew and dive centre provided us with excellent service ensuring our kit was loaded and we had all we needed, we would then dive in and the Red Sea talks for itself and has to be experienced.On my first dive it became clear my SPG was broken on the flight in... luckily I had my AI computer so we continued the dive, Steve then lent me a spare SPG and sorted a replacement for me at a reasonable price for the following days.I also felt anxious and burned through my air (always do when diving new places with new people) Steve instinctivley noticed it and that night and the following day he sat me down and we talked through it and he gave me some tips to help me overcome this...I put these into practice and by the end of the week being underwater was far more enjoyable and I was spending twice as long there.As for Steve he is an excellent instructor but on top of that a charismatic, passionate diver and an all round decent, funny and approachable bloke to be around and spend time with. He also managed and dealt with everything for me so the most stressful decision I had to make was what to choose on a menu.Also the group I dive with were awesome and made the trip that bit more special so thanks to them tooIf you want an amazing diving holiday in the Red Sea with no stress dive with Steve and Dive UK Hurghada.Until next time.Carlos 👌🏻

2020 was a challenging year to say the least: stress filled, job uncertainty etc. all of which needed correcting and balancing. 10 days diving with Steve was all that was needed.Steve was kind enough to help with flight recommendations, boat logistics, cheap mobile internet access as well as accommodation. Just ask him for what you need – it’s that simple. Pre-arrival & during-travel communication was excellent – use Viber for calls and texts – voice on WhatsApp doesn’t seem to work. I strongly recommend using Steve’s airport pick service: reliable and stress free.I dive with a twinset (2 cylinders) not very common in Hurghada – Steve managed to secure the kit for me! With daily pick-up from the apartment to drop off, every day was well managed, including refreshments / lunch on board.I’m an experienced diver so had Steve as a guide rather than an instructor. I saw him teaching with students and was impressed not only by his attitude of patience but also by his aptitude and style of teaching. Steve’s diving is excellent: I enjoy wreck diving and he was able to create a 10 day package which included wrecks, reefs and associated fauna & flora, opening my eyes to the natural marine beauty that Hurghada offers. We discussed each dive in detail and I was impressed with his local knowledge of the dive sites, including those less frequented by the masses. The baby sharks were a delight to see and a lifelong memory, thank you Steve. For some of these more ‘hidden sites’ be prepared for a rib (zodiac) boat dive from the main vessel.The dive boat (The Shehab) was not only excellent; fair to say it was exceptional – I’ve dived many off boats many times in Egypt and this experience was by far the best. Lots of space, clean and with an inviting lower as well as upper sun deck. Friendly caring staff with professional attitudes that gives one confidence for what is after all a risky sport. They don’t pass round a tips-bucket, unlike other boats and I would suggest giving a tip to the deck-hands on your last day; it’s well-earned and much deserved.I selected the self-catering accommodation which Steve offers. Great choice on my part: I was free to come & go, it was clean with the basics provided and a great pool view balcony where I had breakfast and also dried my kit! The Florenza Khamsin Red Sea Residence – Apartments are based on a major road and local residence area. This provided me with access to the usual holiday eateries, but more importantly cafes and restaurants where the locals go. There are local shops within 2 min. walking distance which made for easy access to essentials from food & snacks to toiletries.Steve is a professional. I liked him from the moment I met him: he has that sort of personality. Nothing is too much for him and I would encourage future clients to have a full and open discussion of needs to see what’s doable in the available vacation time. I was there to dive 100% of my time; next time I’ll avail myself of the tours that Steve is able to organise: such as day visits to the archaeological valleys of Luxor or the Sphinx and Pyramids of Cairo.I thoroughly enjoyed this much needed break; the added bonus was meeting and diving with Steve. They say a true reflection of any review is would you go and do the same again? The simple answer is yes, absolutely. Thank you Steve @DiveUKHurgarda.
