Diving Tulamben is a great day out and you will get to dive the USAT Liberty Wreck. The Liberty Wreck is located just off the shore of Tulamben. After being torpedoed in January 1942 it laid to rest giving divers the opportunity to dive this fascinating wreck without stepping on a boat.
Due to the age of the boat it now has lots of life on it and something for every diver to see.
Tulamben can often get busy with divers so we time it right to arrive just as everybody else is getting in the water, as they are coming out, we will then dive giving you the opportunity to see this wreck with not many other divers around. Be sure to bring your camera as there are lots of photos to be taken.
The visibility is usually around 15-20m and this gives you the opportunity to spot all the Macro and marine life on the wreck, you will also get to see the huge Eel Garden just off of the wreck. There is also a reef dive to complete after the wreck where you can often spot octopus and huge amounts of Macro life including Nudibranch, frogfish and much more.
Diving Tulamben is a must if going to Bali and its exactly why we have included it in our Bali holidays, Tulamben can get very busy and attracts lots of tourist and divers so be very carful when you dive here. Often you can find hundreds of divers in the water at once and this is why Dive UK Travel only dive it at specific times which we have discovered through our intensive research of Diving Bali.
