Diving Playa del Carmen

Diving Playa del Carmen is very much similar to diving in Cozumel and great for the first Dive in Mexico. We use Playa to give our guests the opportunity to do check dives and it’s done on the first day of the holiday. It’s a great place to have some gentle dives to get the weighting right, see some beautiful Coral Gardens and huge schools of Marine life.

As with all of Mexico the visibility is usually awesome and most days are a good 20-30M vis and warm waters of around 27-29 degrees. The dives in Playa are generally shallow and maximum depth will be around 15m

Diving Playa del Carmen you will often see Rays of all different type and often you will see several together. Morays of all different colours too along with colourful schools of fish. One of the highlights of diving in Playa you will see some huge lobsters and crab. After seeing 5-6 of them together hiding in holes or under overhangs.

You may also be lucky like we have been to see Eagle Rays and Nurse Sharks swimming past, perhaps even see a lone Bull Shark crusing by.

In all ways your eyes will be very busy in any dive you do in Mexico.
